Leather Colourwork Yarn Clutch – Coral Pink and Blue

There’s always a story with my new designs…

I had seen on social media a video of a cool pouch which closed with three snaps. I filed that idea in my brain and thought nothing of it. But then my brain started formulating an idea of the rest of the bag and I wanted to check out the video again to have a look. But annoyingly I couldn’t find it. After a few days of searching here and there I finally found it.

I grabbed some leather, did some measuring, and came out with a prototype in mid February. I asked a lot of questions and got some great feedback. I settled on a design at the end of February.

This version is made in Coral Pink leather, Purple inside pocket and Blue Outside Pocket. It features an antique brass Dee ring, antique brass rivets and snaps.

The base of the bag measures 7 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ deep. The width at the top of the bag measures 9 1/2″ wide. The height of the bag is 7″ and closes with three snaps. The inner pocket is divided into two slots, the whole pocket measures 7″ wide x 4″ tall and each section is 3 1/2″ wide. The outer pocket is 8″ wide by 5″ tall and is secured in place with rivets and on one side features a leather Dee ring to store your stitch markers.

There is a metal D ring on the side of the bag where you can choose to have no strap, a permanent strap or a removeable strap.

The bag can hold one or two caked skeins of yarn with room for a small project such as socks or a toque. The snaps at the top can be closed in any combination so that the yarn can feed through one side or two if you are using two colours or holding a second yarn.
