Quick dash to the country to drop off our daughter

Quick dash to the country to drop off our daughter at her very first Girl Guide camp. So proud of her. She wanted a little help getting her bed ready but she was ready for her own big adventure.
Filling the time sewing up the 4th hand stitched waist bag. Love the flexibility that hand sewing brings.
One more sleep until the 2nd Calgary Knit City event. Two years ago I had a blast and fingers crossed this will be even more fun.

Studio time. Today is gluing the sides, waiting for the glue to get tacky, press the edges together and then sew them.

I don't like watching glue get tacky so I'm making the wrist straps.

There are so many steps when making bags. It's not for the faint of heart.

We finally have a lovely day in Calgary, so I hope you get to go out and enjoy it.

I present to you the newest collection of @herleat

I present to you the newest collection of @herleatherco 2.0 Yarn Clutches.

They come in:
Dusky Pink
Pale Lilac
Peacock Blue
Purple
Matte Grey

2.0 version what's different?
I had to completely rethink how I put the sides of the Yarn Clutch because originally I had the D ring attached on the side. However when you pick the bag up the dynamics of the D ring on the side mean that it pulls on the side seam in an awkward way.
The second difference is the base. I changed my design so that the base is a more distinct rectangle shape. This makes for a much sturdier standing bag.

It still has the same internal pocket to house a Notion Organizer and a couple of needles, pencils or crochet hooks. On the outside is the same size pocket and leather loop to hold stitch markers. It also has the same satisfying magnetic snaps that enable you to open and close the bag easily.

Check the Her Leather Co booth out early as I'll only have four of each colour available.

Thank you everyone who made it out. It was a stunning day, but inside was cool, well lit and well attended.

Fun fact, the most sold product was my suede slippers and toes which isn't surprising because fall is coming fast and these make great additions to slippers you're going to knit/ crochet or felt.

Thank you amazing customers for some wonderful chats and all the purchases. Could not do it without you.
