Day 12 - Car Boot Sale - I came across an amazing

Day 12 - Car Boot Sale - I came across an amazing old Gramophone with the perfect record playing on it. I wish I had asked how old it was.
Car boot sales are amazing. They're organized mini garage sales. Vendors rock up in their vehicles, which are all lined up in rows. People set up tables, displays, clothing rails or even just boxes on the ground right in front of their vehicle.
As a customer you pay a small entrance fee, £1 and wander around rummaging through. You can barter if you want and you can always find a treasure.

There's always a mix of vendors from folks selling their unused items and clothes to people who have collected antiques or amazing prices of art over the years with a wealth of knowledge.

There's always people with jokes, like the fella who said 'he had a great 2 weeks, last Wednesday'. Hilarious dry British humour. Love it.
I love hearing all the different accents from the local area and being told that an item I was looking at was either '50 pence luv'.

I'll make a video to show you what cool antique/vintage items I brought back from the UK. There are some very eclectic items 😂.

I'm starting production on some new Notion Organizers. These sold out at Knit City Calgary two years ago so I want to make sure that I have enough for the upcoming one this September.

I will be going through my hides to find some beauties but I'd love some suggestions as well.

Sarah, Maria and your wonderful team of volunteers for a lovely well thought out event. The venue was great, ample parking and fellow vendors were great.

I'm already back in the studio and working on a few custom orders. Exciting!

I'm also working on a 2.0 version of my hugely popular Colourwork Clutch that I brought out in 2024.

I've had it in my mind to iron out some of the wrinkles that I wasn't quite happy with the original design. I made a prototype today, and it's very nearly there. I'll probably make one more, so watch this space.
